Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

Some people are really picky when it comes to the kind of vegetables they eat, some even dislike eating vegetables altogether. For this reason, in my household, I always try to make them as delicious as I can. Making green beans with parmesan and garlic is a fun twist that can elevate this dish for even the pickiest vegetable eaters. Since they are made using an air frier it makes it even convenient for the busiest amongst us. If you don’t have an air fryer don’t let it deter you from making this because you can prepare this all the same by popping it into the oven to bake. Whether making this dish using an air fryer or your oven it takes the same amount of time. Both ways create the same golden brown crispy effect.

Green beans contain high levels of vitamin K and a great deal of calcium which makes them very beneficial for a healthy diet. They help you maintain healthy and strong bones and minimize the likelihood of fractures. Additionally, the B vitamins they contain are helpful in reducing depression and maintaining overall mental health. China is the country where green beans can be found in an abundance of dishes, second to Indonesia.

Ingredients

2 cups fresh green beans, washed and cut

1 Tbsp butter, melted

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper to taste

1 Tbsp shredded parmesan cheese

Directions

Mix the green beans, garlic powder, melted butter, salt & pepper until fully coated.

Place the green beans for about 10 minutes in the air fryer or oven at 390. °

Once the green beans are lightly golden and crispy, turn off the oven or air fryer and coat them in parmesan. If you want to add a bit more parmesan, don’t be shy.

You can then let the heat from the air fryer or oven melt the parmesan for a minute or two and then sit and enjoy.
